Viskan Group runs restaurants, cafés and bars in central Borås and at Knalleland, as well as commercial cleaning and car care. We are always looking for people who like a high pace, good food and drink, and giving guests and customers a really great experience. When you apply, you choose which of our businesses you want to work at. All our employees are covered by collective agreements.

No experience? We only take on people without previous experience through internships or work placements arranged by their school. Ask your school or study and career counsellor to contact us to arrange a place.

Head Chef

Do you want to run a kitchen and shape the menu? As Head Chef you have overall responsibility for the kitchen at one of our restaurants, from concept and menu to finances and staff.

You will:

Lead and schedule the kitchen team
Recruit and onboard new colleagues
Develop menus and concepts
Be responsible for purchasing, food costs and staff costs
Work towards clear financial goals

We are looking for someone who:

Have several years of experience as head chef, kitchen manager or sous chef in à la carte
Are a clear, present and empathetic leader
Know your way around costing and profitability

Do you thrive in a fast pace and want to lead a team? As Sous Chef you are the Head Chef’s right hand and run the kitchen during service, especially evenings and weekends.

Are a trained chef with several years of à la carte experience

Have at least 6 years of experience in the industry
Can calculate costs and work with food costs

Do you have an eye for detail and enjoy cold kitchen and baking? You prepare salads, sandwiches, cold dishes and desserts at our cafés and restaurants.

Keep high quality in everything that goes out
